ABOUT VARCHASVA
WE ARE NOT A FURNITURE BRAND.
WE ARE AN ART BRAND.
Every piece that leaves our workshop is a handcrafted masterpiece built by the generational craftsmen of Sankheda, Gujarat, from the finest teak wood. We do not manufacture. We do not replicate. We create.
Varchasva exists at the intersection of Indian heritage and global ambition, a brand born not from opportunity, but from conviction.
01
THE ORIGIN
A passion for art.
A Mission for the world.
Varchasva was born from a deep, unrelenting passion for Indian art and craft and from the frustration of watching it be undervalued, underpriced, and overlooked on the global stage. The craftsmen of Sankheda have shaped teak for generations. Their hands carry centuries of knowledge. Their work deserves to sit in the finest spaces in the world.
Our origin story is not a business plan. It is a belief — that Indian art belongs everywhere great art belongs. We began with the ambition to take Indian craft to the world. And as Varchasva grows, we carry an even larger vision: to eventually bring the world's greatest art traditions back to India, creating a cultural exchange that elevates both.
We did not start Varchasva to sell swings. We started it to change how the world understands Indian craft.
02
THE NAME
Supremacy in Sanskrit.
Settled. Unshakeable.
Varchasva — वर्चस्व — means supremacy in Sanskrit. Not the loud, aggressive kind that demands attention. The settled, unshakeable kind that simply occupies its space and commands the room without trying.
That is what every piece we build does. It does not ask for admiration. It receives it. Because Indian craft at its finest has always been supreme — it simply needed a brand willing to say so.
Indian luxury does not borrow prestige from outside, we create it.
03
THE CRAFT
Handmade Only.
Artistic Only.
Varchasva deals exclusively in handmade, artistic products. There is no production line. There is no factory. Every piece passes through five craft disciplines — wood turning, traditional painting, fabric artistry, original wood painting for Bespoke pieces, and hand carving — before it is complete.
Each piece is built to outlast the room it inhabits. The teak will age. The carving will deepen. The painting will remain. A Varchasva piece does not deteriorate over time. It develops.
WE BELIVE
Indian craft is fine art — not folk art. It belongs in the same conversation as the world's greatest design traditions.
WE BELIVE
The artisan's hand belongs on every piece. Craft without the human touch is not craft — it is manufacturing.
WE BELIVE
Global recognition is not given to Indian art. It is earned — one extraordinary piece at a time.
